1. About these terms

These terms apply to coetuapp.com and to the Coetu waitlist, run by The Friends Company ("we", "us"). By using the website or joining the waitlist, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or join the waitlist.

The website and the waitlist are for people in the United States.

The Coetu App, groups and events will have their own terms, which you will be asked to accept before using them.

2. The waitlist

• Who can join: anyone who can agree to these terms and wants to hear when Coetu opens in their city. Whether you can join groups and events is set by the App's own terms.
• Free: joining the waitlist costs nothing, and you can leave at any time with the unsubscribe link in our emails.
• No guarantee: joining does not reserve a place in a group, an event or the App, and we do not promise a launch date or city.
• Accurate details: please give your own, accurate name and contact details, and keep them up to date. Do not sign up other people.
• Emails: we will email you about our launch. How we use your details is in our Privacy Policy.

3. Using the website

Please do not misuse the website: no attempts to break, overload or get around its security, no automated sign-ups or scraping, no false or someone else's details, and nothing unlawful. We may block access or remove waitlist entries that break these terms. How members treat each other is covered by our Community Guidelines, which are part of these terms.

4. Our content

The Coetu name, logo, design, text and images on this website belong to us or to those who licensed them to us, and are protected by law. You may view the website and share links to it, but please do not copy, change or reuse its content without our written permission.

5. Information on the website

The website describes a product that has not launched yet. Descriptions of the App, activities, groups, cities and features, and the illustrations and images, show what we plan and may change before launch. They are not an offer or a promise of a specific service.

6. Your ideas and feedback

If you send us ideas, suggestions or feedback, we may use them to improve Coetu without owing you anything for them. This does not cover your personal information, which our Privacy Policy covers.

7. Other websites

The website links to our Instagram, X and TikTok pages and to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices; their own terms apply.

8. No warranties

The website and the waitlist are provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, pause or stop them at any time, and they may sometimes be unavailable or contain errors. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind about them, express or implied.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of the website or the waitlist. Because both are free, our total liability to you for anything related to them is limited to one hundred US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you live in another state, you also keep any consumer protections that the law of your state gives you and that cannot be waived.

11. Resolving problems

If you have a problem with the website or the waitlist, please email us at privacy@coetuapp.com first. Most issues can be sorted out quickly, and we will try in good faith to resolve yours within 30 days before either of us takes any other step.

12. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the website and the waitlist.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects you, we will also tell you by email. Continuing to use the website or staying on the waitlist after a change means you accept the updated terms.
